Hepp

a duet from the worlds of contemporary dance and circus

What would I be if…? Everything. Everybody. If I can’t be everything then I'd rather be nothing. No, just a quote. From Gege. The literature teacher who became a rapper. I wish I was big enough to quote myself. This is also a quote. From Moki. Well, then I'll be somebody. It doesn't matter who. If it doesn't matter, it's fine as it is. In fact, it's perfect. I actually like being such a little fern. I’m just staring from the shelf. Sometimes it would be nice to be a mushroom. Do magic. But I'm usually okay with being green, with smelling good. You don't need flowers. Then I'll end with a quote: I give myself, I give myself up. Quimby. If I were better, it would be worse.

Márton Csuzi and Sophie Zoletnik are looking for the basis of personality and character. Are they who they want to be? If not, why not? Can they accept that they are who they are? Along with mistakes and weaknesses. They look for the answer to all this in each other. The other is a mirror, a reference point for them. They need each other to be themselves. They communicate in the language of dance and circus, physicality gives them the space, and they find exactly nine solutions to it.
