Improlab is a space dedicated to the experimentation of circus arts. It offers circus performers and musicians the opportunity to delve deeper into their research within a collaborative group environment in a performative way.
Throughout the entire show, both the circus artists and musicians engage in spontaneous improvisation, crafting the dramaturgy of the performance using a diverse array of movement tools, including physical theater, dance, and circus techniques. They remain open to a variety of proposals, willing to accept them and push their boundaries to the limits. Their willingness to take risks and give their best is not only measured in terms of tricks but in the quality of their actions and remaining fully present in the moment.
Before the performance, the artists will select a circus prop they wish to explore during the show. This could be an aerial apparatus, chinese pole or a juggling prop. While these props are individually familiar to the artists, they won't research with them together until the performance itself, ensuring a display of creativity.
Come and be part of the experience!
After the performance there will be a jam where we can all play together.
